Why RAS Officer Ankit Kumar Awasthi Suddenly Resigned From His Post

Ankit Kumar Awasthi stated that he earned Rs 5 crore annually through several coaching institutes and online platforms.

A Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer suddenly resigned after two years of his service. This move has made him a topic of discussion. The officer in question is Ankit Kumar Awasthi, who worked as an Excise Officer in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He resigned from the job after two years and ten months. Naturally, his step has invited questions about why an Excise Department officer would quit his government job. When he was asked the reason, his answer left many shocked. Ankit Kumar Awasthi had to quit the government job at the Excise Department because of various reasons. Ankit explained in an interview that he is leaving his government job to pursue his true passion. “I was definitely in a government job,” he shared, “but my passion lies elsewhere, and I want to fulfil it.” As per reports, he had recently built a house worth crores in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. Soon, his relatives began gossiping and they believed that Ankit was able to afford the house only because he was earning money through bribery. Ankit reportedly felt that even if he achieved great success with his hard-earned money, people would associate it with bribery and corruption; this is also said to be another reason he quit his job; though no confirmation about these have been received yet.

The ex-RAS officer shared that apart from government jobs, he also did many other types of work. He had a channel on YouTube to guide the youth. He also has about one crore followers on his social media platforms. Ankit has also been a teacher since 2011 and has taught children from Delhi and Kota on many online platforms. He said that he had paid a tax of a crore before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ankit Kumar Awasthi stated that he earned Rs 5 crore annually through several coaching institutes and online platforms. It was a child’s inspirational words that got to him and motivated him to join the government service. He said that while he was teaching the children, he said that he was a gold medalist, to which a child responded, “If you ever get to clear your exam, then tell me”.

These words pushed him to take the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam and he cracked it. A few of his family members are also officers.
